Post-apocalyptic AND hilarious. And phenomenally well-written. I haven't enjoyed a book this much probably ever. This man is brilliant.
Here's a terrible review of it. It basically re-imagines the Jamestown colony disaster with a sense of humor. It paints a pretty believable picture of what this country would look like after a series of serious catastrophes: pollution rampant, highways crumbling, Brooklyn at war with Manhattan, "towns" inhabited by people who may or may not be more amenable to stabbing you in the neck than trading with you. As the character "Johnny Rolfe" says on the first page,
