So a well armed town with mortars and motivation vs a sleepy little town that hasn't clued into the realities of the new world with some weapons a tank and nuclear weapon in a barrel.

Should be entertaining at the least

Yeah this show rocks and I keep getting the urge to buy an ATT mobile phone???

I thought it was a good episode. Not a lot of action but it set up a scenario that should prove interesting.

This episode made me want to reach into the TV and slap Jake upside his fool head! A two man scouting party in very hostile territory and he wants to play hero instead of return to base and report so everyone gets warned and ready? What the hell is going through his hollow head?

Cut poor Jake some slack, he is in love. Now that he heard his girlfriend is dead, maybe his brain will start working again. Should be some good fireworks next week! Or the start of a mini cold war.

CBS runs a wiki that the producers answer questions and give hints in fairly regularly. You can probably ask there and get an answer. This is the first show that I've ever looked into it and found the creators of the show interacting with the public. Some of the starting morse was used as a contest to go and visit the site awhile back. I still don't have my Strider3700 MRE's in there yet though :(

I'd think the credits would have that information if you look closely....

This week's episode:

JUICY!

Johnston and the boys need to stop being "humanitarian"!

Someone needs to pop Gray the Capitulator, what a twinkie that guy is.

I can't wait for next week. Gray needs a bullet in the back of the head. I hope they break out the tank and do a little revenge bombardment.

Yeah they should put that other town out of their collective misery with a tank-led counter attack.

Even my cornucopian wife thought it was stupid and ridiculous when Gray's assault group said "NOOOOOO!!!" when Jonah executed one of the wounded perps with an AK.

It was the first time she saw the show and I explained to her that they are trying to marry a soap opera with doomer porn and it often doesnt work.

On a side note, it was wierd, she then said she hates the word I use: "doomer-porn". When I asked her why she couldn't say.
Anybody here not like the word "doomer-porn"? or know why it would rub someone the wrong way?

I surmise that it might be because it's easy to mistake that term for meaning two or more doomers having sex with each other.

Last night was pretty good.

When what's his name went to his storage room and showed all the guns, my wife looked at me and said 'Maybe you should buy a few more guns.' Of course I said 'OK.'

Yea, bet we are in for some tank action next week.

I'm expecting tank action too. The problem for Jericho is that they really need to think long term. Having an all out war with the next town over isn't a desirable situation. Who wants to have a permanent enemy in their backyard?

I think the smart thing for them to do is have a show of force with the tank, either defending an attack from the other town, or sending it there to destroy their road block and a non essential building or too. After that all they have to do is get on the radio and say "How about you go back to making those wind mills for us and accept our previous offer of 10% of our food. Or, we could just take this tank and destroy your factor along with a good bit of your town?"

Hot hot bunker on bunker action? Completely silent sex so they don't accidentally let anything about the preps slip out in the heat of the moment? The Romantic tick of the geiger counter going off in the background?

Heh my wife gave me the go ahead for more guns last night as well. I didn't ask how many, I'm assuming she meant lots.

We had a powerful storm(80-100mph winds) blow through Dallas last night and cut the power. I watched up to the point of the ultimatum given by the New Bern mayor. What happened after that?

I did get to break out the glowsticks and grundig handcrank radio .

the mayor waited until after the 4 hours and never replied expecting a call back. newburg dropped a couple of mortars in the center of town lots of people hurt mass confusion... mayor orders rangers to find the mortars. they do and new mayor orders them to take them out quickly even though the old mayor wants them to scout around the location first. Rangers rush in and most of them die. Important farmer character survives.

Newburg drops more motars in retaliation says the town has two hours.

old mayor jake and the fat nice cop fight with and then leave the mayor and put together a plan to go scout out where the mortors move to.

They End up picking off a resupply truck and run into Jonah and his band of thieves. A deal is made, Jonah's assistance for half the weapons/food/gas captured. In the mean time mayor is get farmers to agree. Also kid from store is getting farmers to hand over their farms if he can defend them. He gets refugees to help him do it.

Hawkins moves his family into his bunker in the basement and says no more secrets letting them see the "secret" room. him and wife make up, daughter is happy.

Eric convinces the mayor to stall while Jake, Hawkins, old mayor, random guys and jonah and guys go to take out the mortars. some bad guys captured a lot of them killed. Jonah kills one of the wounded after the fighting is over and the town folk are horrified. Jonah then packs up all the captured goods and says he's a theif so sue him and drives off with them. Jake whines that they needed the guns to defend the town. Hawkins says guns are easy.

Jump to hawkins breaking open the storage locker loaded down with guns and ammo. He says something about jericho being his home now and off they go with the truck loaded up.

newburn mayor calls on the radio and says it's now war and he will kill them all. New mayor turns the radio off and tells the old mayor he could use his help. They shake hands.

Jump to partially blown up town square with everyone from town milling around. Old mayor climbs up on a truck and does a rousing speach about not fighting for land but fighting for survival. Jake has everyone over 16 of able body that needs a gun line up and they start handing them out. Store kid and his refugee army line up also. Hawkins daughter lines up and he gives her one and a smile.

Episode ends to sad song as important farmer/ranger guy is out scouting looking mighty pissed. He finds the newburg camp out in the field and is looking at it through binoculars looking all tacticalish in his snazy outfit. I hope when the world ends I have a nice all black outfit that will be useful for remote scouting operations in the middle of the night. Reminds me I need to go shopping, not enough camo in my closet.

I don't get the next week on jericho clips so can't tell ya but I bet it's going to be nasty and brutal. Great way to end the season but I bet it's a cliff hanger about who lives and who dies.
