Keep your eyes on ABC also.
I recently saw an add for a show called "Crude" coming soon.
It was all about PO.

Edited: I found a teaser clip for th show on the ABC website;

Part 1 focused on western civilization’s dependence on oil and the devastating impact oil production is having on the 3rd world nations that the oil is sourced. Pollution and ecological devastation was put in contrast with scenes of neon lights in Times Square New York and the many massive highways full of cars motoring away in the American way of life (that was emphasized as not negotiable). China had a segment showing the incredible growth and consumption of commodities fueling the rise of next global super power.

This doco makes me feel like handing in my resignation for my job in the automotive industry.

Part 2 had some more stuff on what will be affected by oil scarcity and covered some of what we can do about it. The short answer is use less fossil fuel..! Something that we seasoned PO posters are well aware of. Overall it was a very good peak oil primer and it didn’t provide a false message of "it's a problem that will be fixed by some external agent or technology". It focused on the impact on all of us and the fact that each and everyone will contribute to making the transition as humane as possible.

I'm looking forward to discussing it with work colleagues.

Watched it with neighbours. Was a good eye opener for them. Discussed it at work today. A friend watched it. My neighbours and my friend were left depressed and scared. No discussion about planning for the future, just depression and fear. I guess they need time to digest it.

After Crude Impact they aired "2013: Oil No More". This is a French docudrama about how a big drop in oil supply might impact a Western democracy. I found this very interesting.
