The Friedman article has a number of significant errors. He has made these kinds of errors before, but not so many in one article.
For those who don't know, Friedman is the 'star' of a new Discovery Channel television series about alternative energy sources. I haven't seen it, but he apparently is strongly pushing those green alternatives.
I am not against those alternatives which I think he is promoting (unless he is pushing ethanol), but this just gives the public and especially impressionable young people the idea that our energy problems will be solved by alternative energy sources.
