We need a PO 12 step program dont we? muahahah

I bought a new bike a few days ago. Almost a week ago actually.

8O NEW 8O BIKE!! 8O

I still have not ridden it! Been so busy spending my obligatory few hours a day in my car, just no fuckin time.

12 step program? How about a nuclear holocaust blitz detox!!!!!!!!

Until then, it's appearing to me the only way I'm actually going to ride a fuckin bike is if I go cold turkey and refuse to own a car at all.

I have the same realization about many aspects of this unsustainable culture so everyone please forgive me as I Tune In Turn On and drop the F out!

"The crucified planet earth. Should it find a voice? And the sense of irony might now well say of our abuse of it. Forgive them father, they know not what they do. The irony would be that we know what we're doing. And when the last living thing has died on account of us, how shapely it would be, how poetical if the Earth could say in a voice floating up, perhaps from the floor of the Grand Canyon; It is done. People did not like it here."

So it goes...

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('I_Like_Plants', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Newsseeker', ' ')Vonnegut was a Defcon-5 doomer and very pessimistic.

The guy's the doomer we'd all be if we were more awake.

Agreed. When one looks at the bigger picture there is very little reason for hope. It is best to just look a few feet in front of you and keep your head down. Vonnegut knew this.

(As a liberal deist/functional atheist) From a P.O. perspective, Falwell was measurably better than the "breed breed breed" faiths (Catholic/Mormon/much of Islam) or the "grow and spend" faiths (Osteen and the prosperity gospel, or market capitalism).

I'm Jesus... what?
The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

Farewell, Falwell

Unread postby Heineken » Tue 15 May 2007, 23:31:59

Farewell, Falwell. Hope it isn't too hot down there in Hades, where the hate-mongers go!

He came, he did his damage, he died of a fat heart.
