Massive earthquakes and tsunamis, Locusts in the Middle East, Snow in Corpus Christi. Just last year half of my county burned down. If the Santa Ana winds had come from a couple of degrees southern and stayed constant a couple more hours the 200 foot twenty mile wide wall of flames would have burned through Mira Mesa and on down through La Jolla to the sea. Is somebody up there trying to tell me something? In the old George Pal sci-fi movie The Time Machine, there was a scene where the fury unleashed by Man was matched by even greater fury by Mother Nature. Where's a Time Machine when you need one?

...And it got up to 56 degrees today where I am. It is like California is having Washington's weather, and Washington is having California's winter. Has been no snow in a month now. Maybe the weather systems are changing right before our very eyes. Of course, last year we got dumped on with 4 feet of snow in mid-January, and temperatures were down to -15 Fahrenheit before Christmas, so who knows. Maybe Mother Nature has bipolar disorder?

The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

Can you believe sunny Italy is under a tropical rain?
Water flooding roads, it rains like hell since Christmas day. You can't believe your eyes when you look out of the window.

We are having late-summer like weather here in Minneapolis with extremely warm temps and barely any snow on the ground. 40F temps.

We also had the 1st brown christmas in 53 years.

It also rains here, in Czech rep., since christmas. Surprisingly no snow so far.. When I was younger, country was allways covered with snow since 1/2 of november.
Global temperature is now 0.8C higher than 3 decades ago, and that's a big difference..

You want snow and cold, come to the Northeast. its been a balmy 20 degrees all day with snow and a 15-20mph breeze blowing. It would be one hell of a time for P.O to kick in now!!

it does seem to me like the climate in the northeast is varying between extremes of longer summer/winter seasons, with little or no "spring/fall" type season, compared to years before.

i rode my motorscooter to my internship today :P. 20 degrees F with a stiff wind (20-25mph) and the roads covered with snow and slush. tell me i ain't a gutsy broad.

This is the Government speaking..........

Yes, we want you afraid.

Earthquakes, floods , weather.

We are here to protect you...

We are here to help........

You need us.....

I think Michael Moore had it right in "Bowling for Columbine".
The culture of fear is corrosive and cumulative.
