Has anyone heard about the new concept album by Nine Inch Nails will be out on April 17? The idea behind it is that, in 2022, the US will be a totalitarian regime in which there is no distinction between church and state, and we will have nuked Iran, invaded Syria, and various other middle eastern countries. Los Angeles will be a wasteland due to a dirty bomb that hits there in 2008, during the academy awards. There are lots of references to fuel shortages, peoples kids being taken away because their parents cant take them to school because they have the wrong kind of car, etc.

Some of the sands of the Arabian peninsula have turned to glass from the nuclear detonations.

In any case, in the midst of this, there is a resistance movement, that has begun sending back in time a bunch of websites to warn people in 2007 of what is to come.

Some of the songs have been leaked in bathrooms in Europe around NIN concerts or they have been leaked through the web. There are also various recordings of police massacres, etc.

Of course, in somme ways the entire Alternative Reality Game is a giant marketing campaign for the album, but it is very elaborate and very political as well, and they have in the process leaked about half the songs on the album. The video has Trent Reznor wearing a Palestinian Kuffiyah and being killed at the end by government stormtroopers.

My point here was simply to alert you guys to the fact that peak oil stuff, oil wars, etc. is now seeping into the general population and its doing so fast.
