Iron man is more of the Fascist. Captain fought for freedom. Iron Man kept pushing that all hero's should have to be registered with the government.

Most of them are/were Fascist. Spider - Man is a real "on the side of the ordinary guy" superhero, and lo and behold, he has to hide out from the law.

I admit. I did it! In the library. With the lead pipe.

I have it on good authority a Steve Rogers clone was created for such an event and is currently taking Karate lessons at a YMCA in Plano,Tx.

It's not surprising. It seems to me that Marvel has gone out of their way to screw up all the storylines. I pick one up for the kids sometimes and I know the stories but the endings seem different and origins have been changed.

I worked in Plano and never recall hearing about him being in the neighborhood. But that was when ARCO was still there and Plano didn't balloon outward yet. :-D :-D :-D

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he superhero was spawned when a scrawny arts student named Steve Rogers, ineligible for the army because of his poor health but eager to serve his country, agreed to a "Super Soldier Serum" injection. The substance made him a paragon of physical perfection, armed only with his shield, his strength, his smarts and a command of martial arts.

But McGwire and Barry Bonds do exactly the same thing and they become social outcasts. Go figure.

Breaking News: Doubts Of Captain Americas Death

Quote:
Confusion about today's headline is apparently the result of recent celebrations of the success of superhero-cloning efforts. Calls for further investigation arose after this week's Congressional hearings on questions about the ethics of firings at top levels of Justice were thought to develop out of work of the ongoing experiment...

I refuse to answer that question on the grounds it might tend to incriminate me.[smilie=eusa_shhh.gif]

All jest aside...It was 20-some years ago that "Cap" taught me what true patriotism was...

He was getting chewed out by the president of the USA, and he told the president..."I cannot follow that order, it is illegal, immoral & unethical" (as he ran his fingers thru the American flag in the oval office).

The prez said forcefully "Captain America...I was told you were loyal"...

Cap said (holding up Old Glory infront of himself)... "I am loyal...to the DREAM Mr, president".

He ordered Cap to turn is his shield.

I agree. Subpar heroes are better.

"George the Iraqi tamer" comes to mind more than others.

Tangent Man

Sees the problem and goes off on a tangent...
Possibly a bit close to home there.
