This is just wrong, but amusing! I can imagine... War machines that scoop up people and eat them. :P

Also this sort of idea would make great fuel for an ancient astronaut story, hahaha 8) You could write that Ancient astronauts put coal and oil into the ground to balance the carbon in the atmosphere giving us the climate we had, until we opened their Pandora's box... Is there time left to save the world from this ancient doomsday device? Don't turn that dial! Find out in this next episode after a few words from our sponsor. Borax, so many uses: you can clean with it, you can make soap; all you need is some animal fat...

Kent Brockman: Hordes of panicky people seem to be evacuating the town for some unknown reason. Professor, without knowing precisely what the danger is, would you say it's time for our viewers to crack each other's heads open and feast on the goo inside?
Professor: Mmm, yes I would, Kent.
The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

Amusingly the other night I made a bacon and a butter candle.
They burn a little brighter then wax candles and a comparably long time.

Tallow Candles - Economical and if you get hungry enough you can eat them!
Hahaha  Of course I'm just joking, who would think of eating a candle...
Image MMMmmm, Butter Candles...

Another thought on animal fat fuel...

What would the price per gallon be if you were to make gasoline from butter?
8 pounds a gallon, (10% water subtracted during processing)
$3.00 per pound
42 gallons in a barrel of oil
.52 convertible to gasoline, lets say .5 for butter.

(3*7)*42*.5=$504
yielding 21 gallons of gasoline
(US$ 504) / 21 = $24 per gallon

Plus refinement costs and energy wasted...
At around $30 per gallon, butter could be seen as an alternative fuel

I think theres a problem with your accounting FG. How much petroleum was used to make your spaghetti?

Sifting through the ashes every day

Perhaps it was hand picked from a spaghetti tree!

And here I thought we had another abiotic oil thread to debunk. What a disappointment...
Stop filling dumpsters, as much as you possibly can, and everything will get better.

Just think it through.
It's not hard to do.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('MD', 'A')nd here I thought we had another abiotic oil thread to debunk. What a disappointment...
This is better, it's biotic oil made of spaghetti and people!!!

8O But seriously, I think this is really a thread about Thermal Depolymerization type stuff...

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('ferrelgiraffe', '
')Extra aceyly CoA from glucose is shunted into lipogenesis, the addidng of two carbon chains to each other to form fatty acids, which are then condensed into FATS... ...In the lab you can do it in an hour.
In the lab...in an hour... add in high heat and high pressure and you have...

Thermal Depolymerization
"After the first-stage heat-and-pressure reaction, fats, proteins, and carbohydrates break down into carboxylic oil" http://www.mindfully.org/Energy/2003/An ... 1may03.htm

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('ferrelgiraffe', '
')Ten complete generations of animals plants and trees (10,000 years worth) would replace all the oil we have used up.
This just shows that like Alcohol and other biofuels, it doesn't scale well. Such is alternative energy...

not to mention how much it takes to comress your remains under all that intense heat and pressure.

no matter how fat you are, you are still energy negative.
