Yeah, they flmed the fight scenes in Braveheart using rival battalions of the Irish Army. There were 500 soldiers medically treated after one of the battles. So, if the battles look realistic - now you know why.

Now I'm remembering all these wonderful good movies. Ben Hur should have been in my top ten list. Pulp Fiction should have been in my top ten list. In Ben Hur who can forget the moment when Judah was in a slave gang and the Mysterious Wonderful Stranger gave him water? I was jazzed by Pulp Fiction though its trash, who doesn't get jazzed by trash now and then? Really though, I sometimes think that the invention and developement of movies was the most attractive aspect to the 20th Century. It will be sorely missed.

By the way, my line 'I'm all better now, really" came from the remake of The Thing, a movie with Kurt Russell about scientist who dug up an abomination under the ice of Antarctica. I think that's what the title was. There was a scientist who first realized they (and humanity) were in deep shit and he went crazy Another movie that seems prescient.
