Normally I wouldn't peddle such garbage people nor would I peddle them to you, but an interesting thing about this site is that as you write articles, post, etc., you get points. These points can be converted to free gift cards. The gift cards can be quite useful for mainly two stores: Borders and Home Depot.
Since most people here believe that we need to prepare, at least a little, for upcoming peak oil, these are two pretty good options (educational books and supplies).
Of course they don't exactly hand out points nor make it easy to get them, but there are ways to cheat the system (I've recently figured out
) and if we get a community there that simply posts news articles or our own articles like we do here and have everybody glean over them, rate it a 10, and post "Great job", then it won't be so hard.
The gift cards aren't much (it takes a few days to earn a $10 if you cheat), but it's not much more work than PO.com.
Sound like a good idea to anybody? Inform the infidels and earn some green?
