I seem to be missing the point in this cyclical argument concerning Peak Oil.

I originally linked to this site from another site that said PO was part of a hidden agenda of the Illuminati/Big Oil/Zionists/NWO/etc ad nauseum. It seems that many of the detractors of PO on the Internet have a Pro-Christian bent to their websites. Has anyone else noticed this?

If PO is a subterfuge does it matter? If artifical scarcity is created and We The People can no longer afford petoleum products doesn't that validate the PO theory anyway?

As you can see I have missed something essential in what the Anti-PO camp is saying.

It does seem ironic to me, but I'm not surprised by it.

I myself am a Christian, but I feel that Peak Oil is almost as certain as Christ's eventual return (I don't however, harp that it's going to be tomorrow. (none knows the day and the hour). I feel it will be soon (and wouldn't be surprised if the Great Collapse is part of it) but I don't presume.
