It is a dark and stormy night...wolves are howling...the heat is out of fuel. You have a necromancer's amulet and a sword of regeneration. What do you do?

LOL, dmtu!

That's what my son called the spec's issued by the USAF in boot.
The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves -- in their separate, and individual capacities.

What you need to do is adjust the RPG concept (the game) to peak oil; to capture interest.

Play a mercenary fighting for Iraq? Or fighting for the UK in Afganistan. Maybe a survivalist in North America?

Myself, I would be more prone to playing a Risk type game, with a peak oil element and based on WWIII.

An RPG might be useful in the right spot. If you see a herd of buffalo packed real tight together, fire an RPG in there and you'll take out a dozen at least.

freeform: pouch the amulet and use the sword to kill the wolves.

ad&d: check the amulet for magical properteys and bend the wolves to my will.

morrowind: prepare for a fight with werewolves by replaceing the sword with dadric di-katana.

Final Fantasy: sit back and watch the pre-rendered fmv cutscene.

The Fallout series rocks. It is the best RPG I have every played. A post-apocalyptic adventure.

Your an ass jato.
I will now have to go home and play Fallout, thats such a fun game. Anymore I just start a game, load an editor and give my character plasma weapons right from the get go.
Love those rifles. 8)

I, being me, would follow MissingLink's lead.......I'd grab my trusty RPG7, oh yeah and them other trinkets, go stormin' out of the S-Mart and send some Evil Dead to ......well, where ever the Evil Dead go to when you blow them to smithereens! [smilie=qright5.gif]
