Although, two things I would pay more attention to is food supply and heavy goods shipments by rail and water. Does DC have ports (Alexandria, Navy Yard etc) that could be reactivated for cargo if needed?
There are about 6 bridges from DC over to Virginia in this area and as a Virginian I would say that we probably should monitor the situation but be ready to pull those bridges depending on how things go in DC.
