Honey can be made on your farm (as could barley of course), and all you need to do is add some yeast, water and honey together (ok its a bit more complicated than that but not much more) and walah a good alchoholic drink! Wine is only a little more complicated, and Viniculture may be an option for you depending on location, but BEES are all over! Get some wine/mead yeasts, a caboy, airlocks bottles corkes etc (or a capper if you wanna go cheap).
I used to drink 1/2 litter of Sapporo Reserve (all barley) everybreakfast before University (cum lade) , I currently am into Belgians (Leff, Aflichem), love Red Hook ESB, English Pale Ales, BASS, Becks Dark, Dark Staropramen etc. etc. etc. and I know living with interuptions in the beer supply will stink
