I read an article somewhere (dont have the link, sorry) where a peak oil scientist said he is not at all worried about global warming. There is not nearly enough oil left. We will be forced to stop using it as a major energy source within 10 years. The Kyoto goals are going to be hit whether we want to or not.
Oil will no longer be economical a LONG time before it runs out. In fact, that was an argument that the Saudis made during Kyoto negotiations. The main fear of the Saudi government is that all that oil they have in reserves will be worthless underground.
