Come'on folks, it's Canada. They supply us with a ton of resources, speak the same language (Quebec excepting), similar culture and shared history (again, Quebec excepting) and pose us no threat. While they may not politically agree with us, our overwhelming size and power makes it impossible for them to disagree with us.

Okay, maybe this isnt an equitable relationship, but when you've shot your international "goodwill" like we have, fear and intimidation make for semi suitable replacements.

China will go to war for the US when nobody else will. Their interests re: PO are now the US's. Anything happens in the ME of too extreme a nature (WWIII) and the Chinese, Indians, SE Asians and Japanese will take the overland route to kick some ass and take some names. Those Aussie pussiewimps will seek isolation once they see how bad things really are. Best you can expect from the Aussies is to keep the Straits of Mallaca open, maybe.
