How many kilometers in a car?

Unread postby seb » Wed 15 Dec 2004, 04:03:54

Way of counting : these are km per person. I mean that if you covered 1000km in a car in which you were 4, then it counts only 250 km for you.

I had to choose between km and miles. These are km, the official unit of the SI system. :P

Of course, the age may influence the result a lot. You could make a comment with a post about how many kilometers you cover a year.

I have no car and I never had. I guess I covered less than 100,000km with my parents when I was a child or a teenager, although we used to live in the country-side, but less than 5km from a city with supermarkets.

I guess that this year I covered less than 1000km in a car. :-D

Under this scheme, very little since I finished high school, which was more than four years ago. When dividing out the number of passengers in the car, probably on the order of 1500 km since June 2000, which is a very rough estimate. In the time before then, the number is much higher though I don't wish to hazard a guess.
