A protest many americans might participate in...

Why doesn't everyone just stay home from work? How long would it take for 'them' to listen to us?

I think swift change could occur if everyone stayed home from work for about 2 weeks... Longer if necessary...

What 2+ week time period would hit corporate america the hardest?

Let's set a date and get the emails rolling.

The principle of mass protest is that what you expect to gain must be significantly more than what you lose by protesting.

Losing two weeks of income is a significant cost to most people, so explain again what the benefit will be.

Even college kids, who can have time to protest, are not protesting the current war; could that be related to the lack of a draft? Maybe if Social Security benefits were cut in half, we could see a massive protest by idle old folks.

Since there are no real solutions besides powerdown I suggest that all else is folly :)
It is easier to enslave a people that wish to remain free then it is to free a people who wish to remain enslaved.

I often stay home from work. Even though I work at home...

What's the protest about?

Please explain the benefit, maybe I'm just not seeing it?

What are our demands, who is our leader (the man/woman who tells us when we can go back to work), what is our name, and how long should we be prepared to be on the march for?

I'm guessing...

1. We want a larger % of the country's income, screw corporate profits.

2. Mr. TITAN is our leader.

3. We are the Neo-Wobblies.

4. Thirty Days.

Does this sound good?

1. We want the elites to acknowledge global warming and do something about it.

2. We want the elites to acknowledge peak oil and do something about it. They will follow our pre-determined ideas/suggestions.

3. We want the truth about 9/11 released.

I can't be the leader because I am currently under contract with the government. But I think a joint leadership between NEOPO and Raphael would be intriguing.

A name is not important, the media would tag us with something belittling anyway.

30 days would be more than enough I believe. Actually, I think the economy would tank after only one week... It would be the same effect as multiple metro areas getting nuked...

If we want to "do something" about peak oil and global warming, the best thing we can all do is stay home from work, permanently.

Seriously. What do you want "the elites" to do? Tell us what we already know? That we MUST stop this way of life?

How about not forcing us into this way of life?

Your post needed a little editing.
