$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he first discovery of the new NSA access system was made two years ago by British researcher Dr Nicko van Someren. But it was only a few weeks ago when a second researcher rediscovered the access system. With it, he found the evidence linking it to NSA.

Computer security specialists have been aware for two years that unusual features are contained inside a standard Windows software "driver" used for security and encryption functions. The driver, called ADVAPI.DLL, enables and controls a range of security functions. If you use Windows, you will find it in the C:\Windows\system directory of your computer.

ADVAPI.DLL works closely with Microsoft Internet Explorer, but will only run crypographic functions that the US governments allows Microsoft to export. That information is bad enough news, from a European point of view. Now, it turns out that ADVAPI will run special programmes inserted and controlled by NSA. As yet, no-one knows what these programmes are, or what they do.

Two rules to help an idiot to prevent sensitive data loss from his computer.

1. Do not record such data on your computer, but if for whatever reason you do:
2. Do not connect this computer to Internet after sensitive data is recorded there.

Now you are fine, no hacker or remote snooper can read it, right?

Well, not exactly. Got a cell phone? This are used as listening devices and can help locate you in times of emergancy? The only way around this one is pull the battery, it don't matter if your phone is turned off. The GM onstar operates the same way.

If you are concerned about being tracked (anyway why government would like to track you?), you may simply leave your mobile at home.

Personally me, and anyone in my close family do not have any mobile at all for last several years, but this is rather a matter of "family religion".
I got rid of my mobile, once I got an invoice to pay again a bill, which was already paid. I had to argue few months with a service provider, and banking evidence had to be provided (payment was made by cheque), before they fucked off.
Following that I thrown away my mobile, except of battery, which I found to be only useful part of it IMO (I like some DIY modelling and some electronics and such batery is handy item to play with in that context).
On the other hand my wife decided to discard her mobile, as she found large numbers of mobile adverts in TV to be intrusive and annoying. Orange(TM) adverts are particularly annoying for her. Kids are also barred from having one.
Interesting thing is, that we are only feeling happier after liberating ourself from this crap.
