JET-MAN
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('JET-MAN translation', 'T')oday, Batman can leave the silver screen and pages of comic books to soar over the Swiss Alps thanks to Yves Rossy who has finally realized the great dream of Leonardo Da Vinci.
Like his many predecessors in flight, Yves Rossy, a Swiss aviator, has been impassioned with flight all his life. He flew a Mirage III with the army, then as an Airbus commander, designed and developed wings which enable him to fly, built and tested during the last seven years.
Finally last autumn, the dream became reality thanks to four mini-engines assembled under the wings, which propel it to more than 200 km/h. During the flight, Yves body becomes that of a bird, and except for a throttle, he does not control the wing surfaces, but controls the pitch, yaw and roll with light movements.
And like Batman, when planes accompany him, and he throttles forward, they can only gape as he disappears ahead of them into the wild blue...
The prototype is fully developed, but there remain some challenges to overcome such as take-off, some aspects of aerial performance and participation in air demonstrations.
For the next stages, Yves will need partners and support, which should not fail, taking into account the interest and of the enormous potential of this project.
