Nice shoes Shanny. Bet that wood is durable too. I've decided everyone on my list is getting pragmatic gifts this year. Multi-tools. Shake powered flashlights. That sort of thing.

Stop filling dumpsters, as much as you possibly can, and everything will get better.

Just think it through.
It's not hard to do.

They may be pre 9/11 shoes, but you still gotta take them off at the airport.

My list was nothing but peakoil related stuff. Carhart Jacket, water purifier, padded work gloves, and tuition for a Cattle workshop out near Overton.

I gotta stop hanging out here and watch more television.

I think I'm going to give some 10 or 20 oz. silver bars to a couple people... do you think they will think that is strange? I know everyone here would love to get those.

I wish I had those shoes dear! Don't we all wish we could go back to 2000.

I hope I get some silver (and not jewelry). I feel pretty good this year, got shake flashlights for some people, healthy food (nuts, salmon) for others. Also books and thinking games. I didn't do any canning, maybe next year.
Told my DH the only thing I wanted was muck boots (and I know I got 'em, yay.)

Life is good.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Raphael', 'h')ave a happy holidays...there must be a joke here somewhere about sticking a finger in a dyke?
Sticking your finger in a dyke could get you arrested. The little boy stuck his finger in a dike.

Nice catch SPG.

I'm a single mom so I don't get X-mas presents. I got myself a big bottle of Grand Marnier though.

Wait a minute!

You are not supposed to open presents until Christmas.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('mercurygirl', 'D')on't we all wish we could go back to 2000.

Actually, 1955 is the year you're looking for. It was like living in a fantasy dreamworld compared to now.

Unless you were Black

Sorry... that was off topic. Does anyone have any points on buying physical metals? Looks like the commission is 20% which is ridiculous.

pre-1965 quarters and dimes. check your pocket change, you might get lucky.

I'm tired of paying a $2 vig on silver coin at my local place. still, with silver down to $12.50 an ounce, I'll buy another 20 tomorrow.
