Our president rallied us with pride,
even though he stole, and we knew he lied,
we worked with him, the best we tried,
he sent the troops, to Iran,
to force the Empire's, influence to expand
and encompass the entire globe,

Then we fought another war,
with a country we hadn't been militant before,
Venezeula was a target next in line,
we thought we had hit upon a gold mine.

The people gladened, they told each other,
our lives will be great, brother to brother,
but we all knew this to be lies,
simply pie up in the sky,

And they were singing Bye Bye Miss American Pie
Too many eaters an depleters turn this into a sty
I'm told to go, and buy buy buy
See this all go away makes me cry, see this all go away makes me cry...

The prices then, began to shake,
the scandals broke out with a quake,
the rich no where to be found,
the stock brokers, all looked stumped,
many went crazy, many jumped
but all in all things looked okay,

they say things will get better soon,
I think there lying, I'm no baffoon,
or least that's what I used to think,
things are starting to greatly stink,

I went to work and saw my boss,
he looked mortified and kinda cross,
I asked him whats the deal,
he just stared and me, and I got a bad feel,

And they were singing Bye Bye Miss American Pie
Too many eaters an depleters turn this into a sty
I'm told to go, and buy buy buy
See this all go away makes me cry, see this all go away makes me cry...

I went to my work and then I saw,
the factory that employed my paw,
had a goin out of business sign,
what I had always thought was mine,
what I had always taken for granted,
was taken by crooks who were slanted,
and cared nought for me,

I went back home, to my wife
to share this tale, of my strife,
she then decided to leave my life,
with another man,

My son asked questions, I didn't know
I tried to answer, and bestow
what little I knew,
that knowledge sticks like glue,

I beg the question, what will happen now?
I know how to build things, not to plough,
will my son have enough to eat,
he's only 3 and oh so sweet,

And they were singing Bye Bye Miss American Pie
Too many eaters an depleters turn this into a sty
I'm told to go, and buy buy buy
See this all go away makes me cry, see this all go away makes me cry...

I went down to the bank today, the emptyness was on display
The money all, flew away
and no jobs were to be found,
some people living in the ground,
some body heaps in a mound,

Well I took my house, a cardboard box
I glanced at son, and then I talked
I asked what he had in mind,
He said his goal was food to find,

I cried asleep, and cried amoaning
my body ached, my stomached groaning
I wish that I could sleep it away,
but I wake up to another day!!!

And they were singing Bye Bye Miss American Pie
Too many eaters an depleters turn this into a sty
I'm told to go, and buy buy buy
See this all go away makes me cry, see this all go away makes me cry...

I tried to get a job today
the lines were packed with strangers in my way
they all had to eat some way
They all looked sad, their spirits broken,
their glazed eyes, all were softspoken
no one had a home, no one had a home...

They all tried the best they could that day,
but only 20 lucky ones got away,
with job that would feed with pay,

my son looked up, his body trembling,
from lack of food, caused by my loss of assembling
I now cry for death day to day,
to make the pain all go away....

And they were singing Bye Bye Miss American Pie,
Too many eaters and depleters turn this into a sty
I'm told to go, and buy buy buy,
seein all this go away makes me cry, all this go away makes me cry...

That morning I awoke to find,
my precious child, that son of mine
had left this awful world behind,

he was the sweetest thing this Earth had given,
he never held a grudge, all were forgiven,
and hopefully my time will come too,

I came across some bloody folks,
they needed help, buying some coke,
I refused help,
they beat me like a whelp,

I lay there on the concrete floor,
bleeding there in front of a market door,
no one even noticed,
that was common modus,

I soon will reunited with,
my child who had such a gift,
for bring smiles to my face,
and I will leave this awful place,

And they were singing Bye Bye Miss American Pie,
Too many eaters and depleters turn this into a sty
I'm told to go, and buy buy buy,
seein all this go away makes me cry, all this go away makes me cry...

It's an adaptation of "Bye Bye Miss American Pie"
