I like this bit

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('BBC', 'D')elegates said there should be no debate on succeeding the president, because there were no vacancies.

Zimbabwe leads the world in:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('The Beeb', 'Z')imbabwe has the world's lowest life expectancy, highest inflation rate and chronic unemployment.

Hopefully socialism will run its course in Zimbabwe. The population will be greatly reduced. A democratic government can take over. Free enterprise can begin to provide food and housing for Zimbabweans.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('TommyJefferson', 'H')opefully socialism will run its course in Zimbabwe.

What's going on in Zimbabwe is so far from socialism that, if you are going to call them socialists, you could call yourself a socialist as well.

What you call "free enterprise" is very rarely found in Africa, and I don't think anything like that is going to happen in Zimbabwe soon.

When the government forcibly redistributes assets from one group to another, that's called Socialism.

Brush up on your Marx.

If the people of Zimbabwe desire freedom strongly enough, they can achieve it.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('TommyJefferson', 'W')hen the government forcibly redistributes assets from one group to another, that's called Socialism.

But when the system transfers assets from one class to another that's called capitalism.

It is not socialism or capitalism, it is called a kleptocracy.... under a defacto one man President for life by force and intimidation.... that does not seem to bother the AU one bit?

If you want to see Zimbabwe Part II wait until Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mendela pass away and then you will see Pres. Mbeki's true stripes. Expect more land reform (i.e. forceable redistribution) and black empowerment (i.e. forceable redistribution to ANC inside supporters).

They do not call it The Lost Continent for nothing!
The organized state is a wonderful invention whereby everyone can live at someone else's expense.
