poor people don't buy oil

Unread postby toolpusher » Tue 05 Dec 2006, 06:22:17

i have been accused in this space of "PUSHING" commodities, specificly oil.

why in the hell would i care if some of u did or did not buy commodities, specificly oil?

geeze, it makes no difference to me whatsoever! either u want to make money or u don't, and either way its your choice, i could care less!

man, u could short commodities or oil or corn if that's what floats yur boat.

i know what i am doing, and that is all that matters to me. i am a logical person. i do the research, i see what i think are the facts, and then i examine how i can make a buck off my time and effort. pure and simple capitalism, nothing more, nothing less.

its called action, as opposed to the generation of hot air. a lot of people like to watch their lips move. i like to watch my fingers skip over the keyboard as visions of black gold (and gold gold for that matter) dance in my head.

The easy way to avoid offending people on this topic, instead of saying "we should" or "you should" buy XYZ just talk about what you yourself are doing and why and leave the audience to decide for themselves if that investment makes sense for them.

I do not have any money to invest in the market one way or the other so it only matters to me as data/research.

Sorry to go off topic but, why is the title of this thread "poor people don't buy oil"? It doesn't have anything to do with you've said on the message itself. Just wondering.

I was confused when I read the title, and now that I've read the post, I'm more confused.

I don't see a clear beginning or end. It's as if you wrote an essay, copied a few paragraphs in the middle, and pasted them here.

... I think he means that people who can't afford it don't buy Oil Futures, his secondary argument seems to be that peeps have not listened to his advice, and again not bought oil futures.

...I suppose you could re-title this "Poorly worded posts don't sell arguments."
