Happy Birthday, Britney Spears!

Unread postby HamRadioRocks » Sat 02 Dec 2006, 11:24:29

Today is Britney's 25th Birthday! She's come a long way since the "Baby One More Time" video.

Yes, I am a big Britney fan. Her songs are so catchy, and she has so much spunk. No, I don't agree with everything she does, but I have much stronger objections to the paparazzi and to those who love to swiftboat her.

This has to qualify as some kind of CofC violation. If Bush can justify invading Iraq, and the Chinese can justify annexing Tibet, then certainly the mods can justify nuking HRR for this post. How about "violating the spirit and intent of the CofC" or something? If ever a single post made somebody worthy of being vaporized, this has to be it.

C'mon, mods, let him have it! Fry him!

You could always nominate him: Best of 2006: Most absurd/wingnutish post

Sifting through the ashes every day
What we thought would never end
Now is nothing more than a memory
The way things were before
I lost my way" - OCMS

I am a Britney fan too and have no problem with the topic.

Britney will do better post peak than all of the posters so far, due to her high wealth. In fact, her life will probably be pretty comfortable.

This was an absurd post, not a wingnut post. A wingnut post would be "Britney caused the Peak Oil problem - Darth Cheney needs to take her on a hunting trip!"

i got to meet britney briefly a few years ago here...

http://www.bacararesort.com/

she is not wealthy, she is rich and there is a huge difference between the two. she lives a high consumption lifestyle that requires massive injections of capital from her fans. just because she is famous does not mean she is going to be immune from the effects of po...i think it is going to be quite the contrary for many like her.

I would argue that her "powering down" (including less consumption) will be a much less dramatic change than what is necessary for the ordinary person. She has to give up gucci and limos. We have to give up heat and cars.

Actually, people like her find it almost impossible to power down, which is why they usually end up bankrupt. Look at Mike Tyson. He would probably box with a trained bear at the county fair for $20 now, because he couldn't control his spending.

Speaking of birthdays.. did anyone catch her birthday suit happy snaps?

http://www.mymasha.com/h/1/index.htm

Warning.. explicit content, though not as bad as say Iraqi children being murdered and photographed (as some people have posted) but almost as bad (because it's Britney).

Anyone who wastes their life in celebrity worship should be taken outside, strung up, shot, stabbed, and set on fire for good measure. If I see one more damn post anywhere about some worthless, talentless piece of shit, I am going to throw up and stab someone.

Tyson went around with a massive parasitic crew (about 20 guys) who sucked all the money out of him.....he once got a 100,000 dollar cell phone bill (for a single month). This guy could've spent a billion dollars inside of a year. And we wonder why africa is so poor. You could set up an african country with the infrastructure of japan, give each person a million dollars, and you'd see that country fall right back into poverty and disrepair in a decade. Most africans are just incapable of planning the future, and incapable of controlling their self-destructive impulses. But Britney Spears isn't as bad as some mindless <racial slur deleted - TheTurtle> but she's no Seinfeld either. We'll have to wait a see if she ends up broke. But at least if she does end up broke at the end of the day, she'll be able to marry some rich guy.

Actually it is something common with most poor people who hit it big... they don't have skills managing money because they have never had it. They also think that the money is "owed" to them from all the years of hardship so it's hard to say no to yourself.

Of course if you weren't such a baby in life experience terms you would know this Mr silver spoon.

Hey, she's already given up underpants. Things must be getting tough.
