Woman of the future-

Unread postby Kylon » Wed 22 Nov 2006, 22:33:24

What does the Woman of the Future look like?

Will she be a domestic housewife?

Will she be a office workacholic working 20 hours a day?

Will she be a sexually exploited piece of property, a slave to be abused by whoever the local gang leader is in the uncontrolled territories?

Will she be in charge of men, serving the Master Matriarchy, using the neuronal implant chips or giant electric dog collar to keep her male slaves under control? Rewarding some males with pleasurable electric shocks to specific parts of the brain, and painful ones when they are bad, and making examples of men who do not serve the Matriarchy.

What do you think?

Note: This isn't referring to all women, as different women have different positions, but primarily to the majority of women specifically living within industrialized countries. It can be narrowed of course to whatever specific country you live in.

Whatever her social position, the woman of the future looks pretty hot to me.

I would guess all of the above as long as society stays intact. Society comes apart the fruits of the feminist movement will degenerate over time, women will be forced to band together to form various networks essentially creating their own small scale societies.

Anyway, it's a sure bet there will be plenty of angry sex of the good and bad variety.

In areas where budgetary cuts have affected the social programs we have seen that women's centers are one of the first things on the chopping block. Luckily, womens shelters are still funded, but that may only be a matter of time.

If things really break down you will see families consolidating kids coming home, parents moving in with kids and battery only works well if the woman is alone and totally dependant upon her husband. Often in spousal abuse situations (male or female, cause lets face it men are survivors of spousal abuse too), the first thing the abuser does is find a way to alienate the spouce from any external support. If your family lives with you this is a lot harder.

Having said that, if spousal abuse is the "norm" for that family then moving in with your in-laws could be just as bad, especially for muslim women who are still considered chattel.

As for what the women of the future will look like?... I would hope that they will change from the shop-a-holic, status oriented, plastic consumers who are as shallow as a pane of glass. I would hope that men will also reclaim their authenticity.

The woman of the future will be making clothes, cooking and feeding the ducks/chickens/pigs whilst her husband builds and maintains the house, ploughs and slaughters the animals.

The women of the future will be exactly like the women of today and the past. Each will attempt to live her life as she sees fit, do the best she can in whatever situation she finds herself and with what's available.

Exactly!

Except that women of the future will probably have fewer shoes than women of today. :P

Anybody see this?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he proliferation of Iranian prostitutes in Western Europe as well as the Arab world helps explain the country's population trends.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'P')rostitution is on the rise in Iran ... ... The age of prostitutes is increasingly younger, and girls as young as 12 are selling their bodies on Iran's streets. Overall, the number of prostitutes is also on the rise and there are an estimated 300,000 of them in Tehran alone

this is what happens to a defeated society. the men turn to crime and fighting

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'W')oman of the future-

Will have plenty of kids (if fertile and married) and get what she deserves.
Sexual "freedom" will no longer be affordable/desirable with exception of the richest and prostitutes.

No slavery (except of selected Muslim states) and no politically correct rights.
Will have to know, how to make a dinner without a microwave.

I suspect the woman of the future will turn to older women in her community to learn time-honored skills, like canning and quilting. She may also become quite adept at making cosmetics and treating illnesses with simple, organic ingredients. I also see women of the future as being great organizers of people and other resources.

And fewer outfits in the wardrobe, simpler hairstyles, fewer cosmetics and she may have to forgo shaving underarms and her legs if things get bad enough. (Would that result in longer skirts or the increased popularity of tights?)
