Speciation of homo sapiens has already occurred, and fairly recently. Recent studies of chimp and human genetics show that humans haven't slowly evolved over millenia, but are a new species, that, from an evolutionary perspective, occurred over night.

The Eoi and Morlock theory of the future of speciating man is more of a political point of view.. It justifies treating the working class with great contempt -- and seeing as they are devolving anyway, with further contempt and mistreatment into the future.

The fact that the article generated little in the way of criticism, leads me to believe that, though it actually may have some slight scientific merit, it's more a sociological indicator of modern elite man's growing ruthlessness of spirit. This theory is close to Nazi theories of personality and intellect, based on the "science" phrenology.

I couldn't disagree with this theory more. Just look at society these days. Who's having the most children? Poor people. Who takes care of those kids? The government. Look at middle and upper class families, they have something like 2.5 kids these days. I know of some welfare single mothers who are in their early thirties having bore 7 kids and all of those are still alive and somewhat healthy, generally with kids of their own.

We stopped natural selection with our social assistance programs. It used to be that these poor kids would have a very short life, if any.

Beautiful people have always been in demand, it's always been that way. In fact beautiful women these days are actually less likely to have as many kids as in the past because they are too busy "fulfilling themselves."

I do agree with the race mixing thing though.

I was under the distinct impression that most of the poor are coming from the middle class and are looking after their own children by working 3 minimum wage jobs to hold it all together. 40 million and growing people without medical coverage in the US. If they were all dependant on the state, they'd be on medicare. True?

I think humans will eventually hunt each other for food as, humans are one of the most abundant source of meat on the planet.

However I don't think humans will ever farm each other unless a race of humans developes the ability to digest cellulose (grasses, shrubberies, stuff that only goats would eat). Only then it would actually make sense to raise them as food.
