A lot of the PO purists bagged on Mike for focusing on 9/11 truth and government corruption, but I hope his entire body of work can be appreciated in hindsight. As cheesy as this sounds, this is a very poignant article on diversity. I know Mike has sounded melodramatic in the past, but the this may be the last we ever hear from the man. I salute him for teaching me about money, peak oil, and government corruption. Godspeed, Mike.

Mike is the best. He is responsible for me knowing about PO and the 911 inside job. Thanks Mike, and hope your health improves and hope to hear from you again soon.

Yeah. He's a total wingnut, but he is the reason I heard about PO. I think it's pretty sad to see FTW go.

Mike Ruppert is not a "total wing nut". Crossing the Rubicon is a tour-de-force and an incredible testament to the life and courage of Mike Ruppert.
Ruppert is no doubt just as flawed as the rest of us, but that's no reason to dump on him. I hope we all have some compassion and mercy for someone who fought valiantly to shine light on things that would have otherwise been unknown.
None of us know how PO is going to play out, but so far, it has played out exactly as Ruppert has been describing for years, in terms of increased government surveillance, clampdowns on liberties, etc.
I am very sad for Mike and very thankful for all he and FTW has done. These are good people who, despite mistakes, are on the right side.
Let's all send some white light out to Mike.

Why do you call our friend a "wingnut"? ;-)
It is easier to enslave a people that wish to remain free then it is to free a people who wish to remain enslaved.

I'm going to miss FTW. It was a bit out there, but it was always interesting. Crossing the Rubicon could have used some editing, but it was a great big book of conspiracies for those (like me) who like that kind of thing. I'm going to miss the Financial Charts most of all. Nowhere else do you get a nice list of everything and how it's doing.

Mike has been right on target except for his time tables. He was just a little premature on his predictions. They will all come true, just not as quick as Mike thought.

well said.

SPG,

"total wingnuts" generally do not get their books in Harvard's business library as Mike's CTR is.

The best minds often are as crazy as rats trapped in coffee tins. So called "sanity" is a relative term. I'd trust an eccentric like Ruppert, with his background, over anyone else. Chomsky is a complete dissapointment, provides improper context, and ends up playing a strict gatekeeping role that the left need to get over. Ruppert is the anti-dote.

Ohh come on. Rupert realizes he's a wingnut. That's why it's called: "From the Wilderness" It's a refference to John the Baptist...history's all time great wingnut.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('mercurygirl', 'A')nd prophet.
I didn't say Rupert is wrong about everything he ever wrote. Just that he's a wingnut. There were a couple of places in CTR where I felt like he went off the deep end a bit, but all in all it was a pretty interesting and informative book. I'm not trying to bag on Rupert, but he does have this aire of a guy roaming New York with a sandwich board ranting about the end of the world.

I never doubted his contentions about the CIA and drugs. That was firsthand knowledge, not supposition and tea leaf reading. There is an evil element to power. Always has been. The game is sinister. But I'm still an American patriot. Some of you seem to think that Cuba is a better model. Read up on it. Even more sinister. Let's face it, the world of humanity is at the tether's end. Catton was right.
