Interesting numbers thread

Sometimes I like to calculate some fun stuff. Usually it ends in my curiousity, but I thought I'd share this time, and I welcome you to leave your calculations and corrections/critics here.
So, if my sources are right,
There is enough oil so every person on earth can drive Honda civic, for 55000 miles, ;
or another:
Theree is enough oil so every person can make 2 (two ) standart roundtrips London(UK)- Santiago (Chile)

If I were you, I'd order that flight right now. :)

Here's another fun number. While fishing on my favorite lake, I did a rough calculation on how long it takes the world to consume the equivalent amount of oil

The lake is five miles long by one half mile wide. Gone in two days if it were oil.
Stop filling dumpsters, as much as you possibly can, and everything will get better.

Just think it through.
It's not hard to do.

I was across the road gathering some gravel to line my greenhouse paths today (my raised beds are already bordered with river stones)

...and I'm thinking about the drought back in Australia and the fact that there is enough fresh untainted water flowing past my front gate
to supply all of Melbournes daily needs. Meanwhile the spring rains continue here and my tanks are full :)
Let us make him who shall nourish and sustain us. What shall we do to be invoked; to be remembered in the earth.
We have tried with our first creatures but we could not make them venerate us.
So let us try to make obedient respectful beings who shall

I spent about 50 hours pulling, rearranging, and mulling over data from EIA early last year. The result left me with a bad case of the dooms.
