$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Lokutus', 'I') have a delicate constitution which makes me unsuited for the rough and tumble action on most forums.
Look man. If you had snot hanging out of your nose and everyone ignored it, and let you walk around looking like a jerk, would you consider them your friends.
If I don't like what you say, then I tell you in my own style and I figure if I am wrong, then you will tell me right back and either eventually our minds will meet, or we will recognize that we won't agree and we just drop the issue.
If I tell you I think your stupid, or a turd I say it because I figure you are my equal and will just figure it is part of the banter. You should consider that a compliment because, I am a very strong, successful, cool person, much loved by my family and friends (maybe not all my internet "friends").
Whenever people are saying what is in their minds, it is out there for contention. None of our minds work perfectly. There are lots of inconsistencies and delusions. I personally would rather be confronted when I put out a thought because it helps me keep my thinking straight. And yes, it is unsettling to readjust thinking, but it is better than walking around with a snotty though hanging out my nose. I thought that is one of the reasons why people like to express ideas and bump up against other good minds for conformation or correction. If people thought you had a bad mind, then they would ignore you.
So get over it, consider confrontation a challenge, and have some fun exercising you intellect.
Geesh.
