Anyone in the mood for something light?

Unread postby WildRose » Wed 01 Nov 2006, 13:47:14

I sure am. I can't disregard all the negative news of late, but in spite of it I am having a very light morning, cleaning out cupboards, getting rid of stuff I don't need, in between dances with my dog to the tunes of Earth, Wind & Fire. Anyone else?

My 2 mile hike into work was 18 degrees and the sun was just creeping up and it was beutiful. The hills and open space are a dream to me. Forgot my gloves tho and hands nearly got frost bite. Ouch. Breathing the cold air and the air coming out of nostrils was like a steam engine. I love that machine correlation with the circulatory system. The outdoors is life. E,W&F rocks!

Yeah, Holmes, there's definitely something about that crisp, fresh air that invigorates a person. I'll be taking my dog out for a walk in our -5C air shortly.

Earth, Wind & Fire are great - so uplifting, can't help but dance.

Hey,not a bad idea ! Would be nice to do a small hike in the woods stoned..all theses leafs falling, weeeh  ..

Joke aside..

My sweet spot today was when i talked with another carpenter about making a nice and big cupboard box..something BIG..like 5x4 feets and 8 feets high..how to make the structure on wheels with a 2x6 base, some 2x3 and plywood sheets to build the rest..will use varnish to age the appearance and to protect the wood :) !

It was nice..oh well..simple pleasures are the best ..

highlight of my day: second of two days with some hard to handle kids in "special ed". Yesterday they were the pits, had to break up a fight that was starting. same kids today: I'm telling this girl what "priorities" are and somehow we wind up talking about the devil and the movie "The Exorcism of Emily Rose". The kids become interested in talking about whether demons are real, where heaven and hell are and everything is cool: no problems with bad behavior.

Damn, I have not yet figured out this Toecutter. What does that mean anyway, some 400 lb. broad working in a salon doing foot manicures? A 55 year old rum drunk? An angry young engineer?

A clearer picture, please.

Watch the movie Mad Max. You'll get a very clear picture.

I am absolutely overwhelmed with the hate and stupidity I see every day.

Do I need something light? I don't know.

Very cool. Education at its best - meeting the students where they'e at.

And it's a relief to have a tough day followed by one where everything is...good.

Well, which character?

Hope you are not planning to exit St. Louis via Hwy 21 south when the SHTF, or then, maybe it would be interesting to meet you.

The biker gang leader that terrorizes entire towns and kills Max's family. He rides a Kawasaki KZ1000 motorcycle.

I might just stick around. Misery is good company.

Me, too, Wednesday. That's why I cut loose this morning and did something mindless but busy. It felt good to dance, and I got pretty crazy with it, playing a few of my favorite old CD's - I think it helped.

I am so emotional today, it's just getting to me. Maybe it's just hormonal.

This upcoming election just makes EVERYONE look evil. I feel such despair. I need something to look forward to and I'm not ready for winter at all.

Sounds like PMS doesn't it.

More of the same shit here. I think I might drop off the grid soon.

Oh wait, I'm supposed to offer something light. Well, I still think dogs are cool.

Certainly could be PMS. Sounds a lot like my premenopausal state!
Oh, the joys!

I'm not surprised at how you feel about the upcoming election. How do you even decide who is the lesser of two evils to vote for? Same here in Canada last election - I've lost all hope for meaningful government leadership. I really think we could all do better governing ourselves.

Here's to a better day tomorrow, Wednesday (insert friendly face).
