Politically active/aware musicians?

Unread postby Wickan » Thu 26 Oct 2006, 14:59:23

Music is an extremely large influence on my life, politics as well. So, the mixture of the two is like field day for me. What politically fueled musicians do you guys personally like? I encourage you to listen to the following artists.

1. Ani DiFranco (Righteous Babe Records)

2. System of a Down

3. Anti-Flag

But mainly I wanted to introduce Ani to those of you who don't know about her. She has influenced me since freshman year in high school (she's been producing music since '89) ... If any of you want any songs/albums in .mp3 format, simply PM me and i'd be glad to .zip and yousendit.com it to you.

Just let me know.

But back to the question on hand: What political musicians have influenced you?
