OJ Finally Confesses All in New Book

Postby Lokutus » Fri 20 Oct 2006, 18:06:54

http://www.nationalenquirer.com/celebrity/63698

O.J. Simpson confesses to the bloody slaughter of his ex-wife Nicole Simpson and her pal Ron Goldman – and reveals he had an accomplice at the scene--in a bombshell new book!

Eleven years after Simpson was acquitted of the Murder of the Century, The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively that O.J. is being paid $3.5 million to describe the brutal knife attack blow-by-blow.

“Only that kind of money could have tempted O.J. to finally tell the truth,” a West Coast source familiar with the top-secret book project told The ENQUIRER.

In the book, “he describes how he grabbed a knife from a man who accompanied him to Nicole’s home -- and moments later found himself covered in blood and looking down on the bodies of Nicole and Ron,” said the source.

With its publication only weeks away, the tell-all blockbuster has remained the most explosive secret in publishing—until now.

In its early chapters, O.J. paints a vivid picture of his life with Nicole and details their bitter divorce amid her affairs.

Finally, the disgraced Hall of Famer gets to June 12, 1994 – the night of the infamous double murder.

“O.J. prefaces these key pages by almost half-heartedly claiming this part of the book is hypothetical,” said the source. “But I don’t think anyone is going to be convinced of that.”

Because of “double jeopardy” laws, legal experts say O.J.’s confession will not likely lead to any legal trouble for him.

The book’s working title is “If I Did It.” But Simpson’s account of the slayings is so chillingly realistic that it leaves no doubt it is a confession of what really happened.
What will arrive first? Peak Oil or the Second Coming? My money is now on the latter.

Everyone knows OJ did it. However, it was the circumstances surrounding his arrest that killed the trial (ie corrupt LA police, racist cop planting evidence).

If OJ gets accused again I'm getting some of my black brothers together and making the 91? L.A. riots look like a Pixar animated cartoon compared to what we will do...

The real reason he wasn't convicted.. riots.

How disgusting is that?

Not only does he get away with murdering his wife, he uses that fact to earn $3.5 million by offering tantilizing details.

Is there no shame left in this country?

Just curious Tommy,
Did you get this upset last month when the Enquirer was claiming that Armagedon was scheduled to start on September 15th?

Alright, the $100,000 question... Acquitted because he was black or famous?

Chris Rock says 'famous,' and I'd have to agree with him.

Well, on Sept 15, I gave my Allstate agent the boot after 15 years and switched to Travellers. I was getting soaked!

I'd say "rich". All in all, anyone with the money to hire Johnny Cochrane probably would have walked. Probably didn't hurt that he was black, both because it garners sympathy with the jury and because it led racists like Mark Furman to cross the line in going after him.

Here's a thought:

Since he was aquitted of the crime, he's obviously innocent.

That makes this entire book a fabrication.

There's gotta be some legal loophole with which to hang him...

That's what I was wondering. He got off on murder, but couldn't they prosecute him for some other related crime? Assault with a deadly weapon maybe?

I'm sure he had his legions of lawyers sign off on the book before releasing it though.

Double jeopardy means the same government authority can't try a person twice on the same set of facts. If a set of facts gives rise to more than one type of crime, they all have to be brought in the same proceeding, so, OJ can't be prosecuted by the State of California again for these deaths.

Now, if there were some type of Federal crime involved, then the Feds could come in and prosecute OJ without violating double jeopardy. For example, bank robbery is both a Federal crime and a state crime. So, the Feds can prosecute, and, if the person walks, then the State can prosecute separately, later, without violating double jeopardy. This is what happened with the police officers in Rodney King. The State of California first tried to prosecute, but the walked. There were riots, and then the Feds prosecuted later for criminal civil rights violations under Federal law and they got convictions. No double jeopardy.

Now, I doubt there will be any riots to get the Feds to prosecute OJ for anything, assuming there was a Federal crime involved.

Well, this really is a hell of a twist in this case:

Publisher on O.J.: 'I consider this his confession'

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')n a deal that some media executives called revolting, O.J. Simpson plans a book and TV interview to discuss how, hypothetically, he could have killed his ex-wife and her friend -- a story his publisher considers "his confession."

Two weeks before the book, "If I Did It," goes on sale, scorn was already being heaped Wednesday on Simpson, the publisher and Fox, which plans to air the Simpson interview in two parts November 27 and 29.

This is just bizarre...
