US going to war before the elections?

What's on your mind?
General interest discussions, not necessarily related to depletion.

Will the US attack Iran before the November Elections?

Of course, it makes sense financially and militarily for them to secure their oil rights.

They might, perhaps in order to gain in the polls or for some other reason.

I don't think so, for various reasons.

Impossibly. Either they don't have the military clout available or are concerned the entire Arab nation would unite against them.

Good points all.

?

I just meant that what you posted were all good points. That's all.

I agree that gerrymandering is a major problem, but it's something that most people couldn't even define, much less recognize as a serious threat to the republic. Check out this map--if this isn't the definition of gerrymandering, I don't what is:

From Wiki:

In 2006, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld on June 28th most of a Texas congressional map engineered in 2003 by former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay. The 7-to-2 decision now allows politicians in all U.S. states to redraw and gerrymander districts as often as they like (not just after census-mandated reapportionment and redistricting) to protect their political parties and seats, so long as they do not harm minorities.

Hey, it's allowed!
