the most holy neocon elite think i am a pot smoking lefty idiot when my view crosses theirs yet i bet i make more money then most if not all of them ;-) I betcha I have more certifications and other relevant training THINGIES hanging on my wall.
I bet my career path has been more interesting, engaging, entertaining and rewarding both intriniscally and extrinsically then most.

better yet i could have someone like yourself gainfully employed at $25-$30 an hour virtually anywhere in america with one simple phone call. bam just like that and thats the way it is. you know anyone else with that ability? you gotta have balls - you gotta be able to look the boss in the eye and lie like the dog that you are ;-)
yes sir - i can do it! if you fail, you go somewhere else hopefully more the wiser.

and thats how we get "in". OTJ baby - higher education at its finest - sink or swim - do or die!! there are in's and out's to this world similar to the simpsons thought of dialing 912 if you want an ambulance quickly;-)

Once ya get in you make a solid name for yourself and file away the contacts - next thing ya know the phone is ringing off the hook.

pretty much i find the situations people tend to disbelieve are the reality. I would show my old friends pay stubs and they would hold them up to the light trying to determine if they are fake or not ;-)
boy thats a good feeling even if it is very fleeting.

anyways yeah it aint all about money. but now that you know what you know - sure would be nice to have a few k here and there to toss into sustainability huh?

people are lazy - they are scared - they want the same ole same day in day out not to be challenged etc etc. Most people cant imagine leaving their family - hometown - local cheers bar and all the other trappings of their seemingly stable lives yet they will toil away getting virtually nowhere as long as they are comfortable. oh well i feel sorry for them but they get what they deserve.

if you ask me - for most - college is the delaying of reality. thats pretty much what it was for me. how many pencil pushing jobs you think will survive post peak? fuck how many trucking jobs ya think will survive? my job wont even survive yet just like many things they consider it "critical" thus it might get attention when other things do not.

The practical skills advice is the one I would take to heart and otherwise I would try to make as much as possible to toss into sustainability. what else really matters now? maybe thats why i own and have read every page of sustainability permaculture organic everything!!! Robert Rodale is a god!! ;-)

oooh my new edition of organic gardening just arrived - imagine a stupid stoner with no life getting excited about something like that. yeah smoke another one NEOPO!!! good idea !;-)
It is easier to enslave a people that wish to remain free then it is to free a people who wish to remain enslaved.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('ElijahJones', ' ')But the credit card wolves are prowling around my house after dark, they said I would default eventually, so they raised my interst rates (otherwise the debts would be 90% paid off). It looks like they are going to be right.

What Jato said, Dude.

When you contemplate bankruptcy, you have to make the calculation of how important having credit is to you - not just right now but for the next ten years or so.

Did you want to be able to buy a house for your family sometime within the next ten years?

Also, some jobs look into creditworthiness. Not a lot of them though and usually only the really cushy ones.

But if you decide that you are young enough to last the next ten years with somewhat compromised credit, shit, declare bankruptcy.

Go and see someone at an organization called "We The People" which helps people make decisions about situations such as yours. You can also get a really cheap bankruptcy filing there - couple of hundred bucks only. They'll lay out all the facts for you. And they are not one of those credit repair, dedbt consolidation or credit counseling companies either so you won't get a sales job and a treadmill. In fact, I think they are motivated more by consumer advocacy and a general philosophy that is decidedly anti-income tax.

Having been unemployed for a year and a half and having lost a house last year to foreclosure I understand just how stressful and depressing life can be. I didn't decare bankruptcy only because I had mortgage insurance that protected me in the foreclosure process. For all those who did not have it the situation was even harsher than mine.

Lately my health has taken a down turn and I fear I will never be employable again which is an awful feeling having just turned 47. There is a lot of younger healthier competition these days for every job out here.
II Chronicles 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
