$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Specop_007', 'C')ourse then I "grew up", got a job and realized I pay a shitload in taxes of which a good majority goes to emotional feelgood bullshit like helping feed some starving whelp in Africa or helping Shaniqua feed her 9 kids,

 You probably don't spend $2 per year feeding starving whelps in Africa, but I bet you spend several thousand buying cruise missles to drop on them. Same with Shaniqua. You can either try to give those kids a decent start in life, or you can spend a whole lot more feeding them three meals a day in Marion penitentiary. I guess you probably realize, though that most welfare dollars don't go to people named Shaniqua. Most of it goes to your and my poor white trash kin.

Sorry i didnt reply quicker

The post was aimed at americans but as has happened people from other counties have answered but thats ok. Im not even american myself im living in thailand but im in australia now doing futher study for a year. The post was to see how widely the USA members of this board travelled overseas and what they did overseas.

worked overseas means "in a business or for the embassy or as an academic" Not in the army on active duty or peacekeeping.

Studied overseas means at a university, collage or special training program

Hoilday obvious for entertainment or culural experiance in another country.

For the Americans "overseas means not in the USA (alaksa and hawaii does not count as overseas) it must be a seperate country.

In my view thoughs of us who have travelled overseas or who where born overseas have a wider view on the world and its issues . Also they tend to be able to understand and accept changes in there life more easierly than non travellers.
