Doesn't that strike you as a bit unfair. We're all condemned to hell, but he makes sure his son's sorted. Bloody nepotism...

Apparently, to sin originally meant "missing the mark", which tends to take away the black and white vitriolic aspect of the religion. Think about that for a while.

Notice that nowhere in the Bible does it say "and god created intelligence". It evidently just wasn't needed down here.

Yes, that's the whole point, all of us are sinners. We're seperated from God and cursed with a sinful nature. But we brought this on ourselves. The whole point of God's Law is to show us that none of us can possibly make it back to God because we're all guilty of breaking His Law. Take the test in my sig to see how guilty we all are. That revelation leads people to realize we need a Saviour to bring us back to God. That is who Christ is.

As for what you said about Jesus, He died to take our punishment on Himself. He didn't come to brag that He didn't sin. He came to sacrafice Himself for all of us. He had to be sinless to be a sacrafice on our behalf. The innocent giving His life for the guilty.

I'll tell you what's a fairy tale - the idea that all of this is some random accident, or even worse that our Creator never explained our existence to us.

He did, but people just don't want to listen.

That sums it up really, in order to meet the demands that your religion places on Jesus it requires him to never have sinned, hence you claim that this was so.

In order to make him sin-free it had to be a virgin birth.

In order to make him sin-free he had to escape death.

It's what I would call a circular argument.

But it does not mean there really was a virgin birth, it does not mean he actually escaped death.

rog.. you're missing the actual circle.

We believe in the resurrection because the Church so teaches.
ie: scripture and tradition.

But why do we believe the Church teaches the truth?
Because the resurrection empowered the apostles to found a Church which led to the recording of scripture and the traditions of the Church.

So how do we know their was a resurrection to so empower the apostles?

Because the Church so teaches.

All of these arguments boil down to this if you beat on them enough. Resurrection, Apostle, Church, Bible/Tradition, Resurrection.

If you do not believe, as a matter of faith alone, in one step of that Circle, you can not arrive at any of the remainder as truth.

It is funny how these sorts of pointless debates can consume so much more energy than debating how to make a living on an amount of land that would be considered enormous in many parts of the world, but which here, would provide less income than signing up for food stamps.
