There is a new game coming out called Front lines Fuel of War.

Basically it is set in the near future and as oil begins to run out the world super powers fight each other trying to control it.

What a game. It's just another war game except the creators are peak oil minded. Sahweetness!

Battlefield 2 has been out over a year now, and a lot of the war arenas take place around the oil centers of the Middle East & emerging power centers of Asia.

If anything, it seems that BF2 may have been the first of many thinly-veiled training exercises for upcoming resource wars.
