I thought it quite lively, amusing budget bedroom video. Probably it represents what most people think about the issue, if they think about it at all, that there's not a problem really because "the tar sands will last for a thousand years".
Most people aren't too hot on dealing with numbers with a lot of zeros. That is, they don't have much sense of proportion. So he sees a big number and jumps to conclusions. He believes that the tar sands can supply the needs of humanity for a thousand years. And so it may, at rather a modest level of depletion. He provides a reassurance to the ignorant.
On biofuels he is ignorant. He does not grasp that biofuels are an oil product and the crops compete with feeding humans - and we are past Peak Grain, as it happens. We are growing less grain than we are eating and have been doing so for seven years. Then they talk about feeding cars... disgusting, just disgusting.
He at least grasps that Hydrogen is not much of an option.
This video may gain some underground notariety, as it says what people want to hear and it quite well presented for an amateur effort.
