PERPETUAL ENERGY

Postby Reno » Thu 18 Nov 2004, 14:19:50

i really think i have discovered it
okay, get a u-shaped tube
get 2 nickel plated magnets (which i have n r extremely powerful) represented by 2
get 7 metal magnetic balls represented by 3
1 1
1 1
1 1
1 1
\________/
3233 3233
tape the magnets 2 the tube, n get hinged covers for 1 side n close the other up
drop the first metal ball
it will snap into the others, causing the magnet on the other side to move, hitting the other set and causing the very right ball to go up the tube
it will come back down n repeat the process, going the other way.

so what do u think?

what do i say?

i say take a physics class before you post things like this.
there is such a thing as friction.
the use of magnets is no different from the use of gravity on a pendulum. the end result is the same: the pendulum eventually stops.

the best idea for new energy that i've seen on this site so far is the idea to mine other planets for hydrocarbons. far-fetched? yes. impossible? i'm not ready to say that yet. perpetual motion machines are impossible.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('JoeW', ' ') perpetual motion machines are impossible.

Not necessarily true! The 2nd law of Thermodynamics applies only in closed systems. I am currently building various models according to some machines suggested at http://www.evert.de/indefte.htm

This is only for fellows who are interested in exploring untapped territory. I am not posting this to proove anything, I simply like the direction of thought.

Maybe we need three different forums:

Energy Technology: for ideas and technologies that can be pursued now.

Energy Research: for ideas like nanotechnology that may help someday.

and last but not least:

Just plain wack: for perpetual motion machines, methane from Jupiter, etc. Sorry, but I am not holding my breadth for perpetual motion.

Does it take energy to get the meterials into an open system/machines?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('lotrfan55345', 'D')oes it take energy to get the meterials into an open system/machines?

yes. open systems need energy to be taken in to get energy out.
