You might ask them what Cypriots are saying about the U.S. government's real motives in the Middle East. I'd like to hear what they say about Iraq, especially.
I'd love to hear their opinion of Dubya.

You could also ask them how are rising oil prices affecting them, generally. It could give you some insights on regional differences during peak oil.
