$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('marko', 'I') am going to make a rare comment on a Specop-initiated thread. These threads are a waste of time, and because Specop replies to every reply, they end up near the top of the list. In my opinion, the best response to Specop's rants is to ignore them and let them disappear.

You're absolutely right. All his recent threads are just prejudiced articles from biased sources that support his own ignorant Fascist views. It's a waste of time.

And I suppose your threads, articles and comments are unbaised in every way?

Pot meet kettle.

Keep pushing that terrorist agenda. Any plans to blow up some more schools or bus stops in the works from the honorbale "freedom fighters"? Maybe set up some more rocket launchers on the rooftops of hospitals and apartments maybe?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('smiley', 'N')ow you can argue about whether a few miles of border justify this much bloodshed, I personally think it doesn't.

The problem is that it's not just the piece of land. It's the abuse of Palestinians and Lebanese. They continue to slaughter and abuse Palestinians on a constant basis. The Lebanese of the South are always being harassed by Israel; they tell them where to fish in our land! Israelis trespass the border all the time. They even fly their planes over us during summer making noises to scare the tourists.

On top of that, they have thousands of Lebanese and Palestinian prisoners, many of them civilians, many of them are there without a fair trial, and they don't want to give them back!!

If we let them, they will continue invading our land because they want our water, and to have control over our territory and our country.

Ahhh, we've gone full circle.
I pointed out your news sources are as biased and slanted as mine, but you dont see it.
I pointed out your opinions and experiences are not to be used as a basis for determination to whats going on, but you dont see it.

And we've come back to you saying the terrorists are justified and Israel is to blame for everything.

Ignorance knows no bounds. Truly.

Simple solution - inundate them in prisoners. After all, prisoners must be housed and fed. Add a few million prisoners, and the economics change.

That said, injustice abounds in the world. There remains a real question - why should I care? Why should anyone, other than those directly involved, care?

Therein lies the inherent weakness of your argument.

Spec,

I just scanned through your postings and, although I agree with very little that you wrote (as usual.... :) ), I must say I am very much favorably impressed with how far you've come along on your spelling and grammar!

And for that a nice polite round of applause is in order... from you too Miki.... stand up and clap!

Ahh, morality. And from whence come these morals of which you speak so easily? Do they originate from a religion? If so, I note a distinct lack of consensus about the validity of any particular religion. Would it shock you to know that religions (supposedly of peace) kill each other? 8)

I regret to say that your argument leaves me unconvinced.

I'm not interested in convincing you. All I meant to say is that people who have a conscience "care" about the suffering of others. Of course there are those that have some form of psychopathy, but I'm assuming you're normal.

There is no such thing as that miki.

Specially Jack :P

For the record, on a different subject spec makes a lot of sense to me, just seems to believe in bad people and good people, or at least thats how he words it.

Some people can laugh at this shit thats happening. I can't but I envy those that do, for in the end the global population will be reduced, probably in our lifetimes.

you've got enough to worry about miki, but there is worse to come. :( :x

Notice that a significant number of people around the world support the IDF. While it is quite true that you need not convince me, the failure to persuade a great many others means that the current situation - one which you seem to deplore - continues. Thus, you might wish to attend to your arguments.

Some, who believe themselves possessed of a very sensitive conscience, care deeply about the suffering of the Israelis. Some even send pizza to the IDF.

Thus, you can see that an appeal to conscience does not suffice.

As for me being normal...well, yes, in some ways. 8)

I have presented several arguments and evidence. I'm not relying on a call to conscience only.

I was just wondering if *you* have a conscience behind all that irrelevant saracasm. That's all.

True. That's what brainwashing is for. Most Americans believed that they were defending their country from weapons of mass destruction when the US decided to invade Irak. They honestly believed their kids in the army were sacrificing their lives for the freedom of the Israeli people. After a few years, most Americans know that freedom and defense have nothing to do with it, and the blood of Irakis and Americans was spilled and continues to be spilled for oil. The current situation is quite similar. Not in vain is Olbert using the rhetoric of the war on terror in most of his speeches. The aim is to convince Israelis, and the world, that this war is about defending Israel and finishing with terrorism. Hypocritically enough, their tactic is to weaken the capacity of Lebanon to defend itself, and they use terrorism to achieve it.
