That is how I see it as well. The United Nations, however well-intentioned it was at it's creation, has proved to weak as a body to really enforce its charter and resolutions internationally. This "U.N. trying to take over teh planet!!11" bullshit couldn't be any further from the truth.

If anything, the United Nations needs to be stengthed. It's headquarters should be moved to Switzerland, and steps should be taken to remove any vested interests. Any nation not strictly adhering to international law should not be alowed a seat, let along a seat in the "security council."

The UN, like ALL post WWII international bodies is in utter decadence: is useless.

EXCEPT, that we ain't got nothin' else like it ...
If we are to have some kind of international body to moderate the world, it should be in Switzerland and the US should be struck off.
