2002 Ford Taurus FFV - 21 - 29 MPG (on reg. unleaded... 10% Ethanol)

Wife:
2006 Dodge Charger R/T - 14 - 27 MPG (yeah it's a Hemi and yeah she doesn't subscribe to Peak Oil beliefs).... at least it has the Multi-Displacement System where it shuts down to 4 cylinders at highway cruise speeds.

1988 Honda Accord. Purchased new in 1988. Has 152,000 miles. Body needs work, upholstery rotting from the sun, but engine is still in great shape. I recently switched from 87 octane to 89 octane and BOY, what a difference. Peppy like the old days, and highway mileage back up close to 35 mpg. City mileage looks vastly improved, possible near 30.

The Little Car That Could.

Never heard of PO in 1988. Thought the world had a grand future.

To get to work I ride a 1984 Honda Goldwing that gets 40 MPG. I work at an offroad shop and many of the "Trail Rigs" we work with use a lot of gas to power them.

I built my latest truck with the understanding that Peak Oil is going to make major changes to this business. This truck is basid on a 1988 Samurai. It is propane powered and gets over 20 mpg on the street. On the trail I can drive all day and only burn 2.5 gallons of propane.

I uderstand that the reconional use of gas will be just about gone in ten years but until then I am doing what I can to show way of using less fuel in the sport.

My vehicle is a yamaha jog. People used to laugh as I buzzed around town and when gas got to 20 cents more per liter than one year ago, people were giving me the thumbs up and asking questions and telling me how very smart I am.

Now of course, I look like a fucking genius. If I have to use a vehicle, I use my neighbours. I do their errands when they are not feeling well (they are both 78 ) and can use their van any time I like in exchange. Of course the IT company I work for has a company truck I can use if I want) people seem to be getting more free with loaning their vehicles if you'll put some gas in them... hmmmm.
