Wow, that's just what the U.S. needs to succeed. More high-tech superweapons!!! I don't know how I failed to realize this myself!
A few points. These items were sold to the Pentagon by geeks paid by the same corporations driving the military-industrial-congressional complex. They have no interest in helping our country, only selling their new "toys."
It is likely that, when actually deployed, the weapons probably have about half the effectiveness that the corporations are claiming now. (Remeber, of all the "precision" guided bombs used in the first six months of the Iraqi War, none of them hit their intended target.)
Rumsfeld's doctrine of the "Future Force" sickens me. I think that, unlike that video proudly proclaims, the military is beginning to forget it's original foundation - the individual soldier (warrior). Anyone else notice that refrence to soldiers being "not individuals" but "a system within a system?"
Stormtroopers, anyone?
As Darth Vader would have it:
"Don't be too proud of this technological terror you have constructed. The ability to destroy a (pathetic third-world power with a military from the Soviet Era), is
INSIGNIFICANT, next to the power of the Force."

Eventually, this will be the fate of the corrupted United States...
