I'm sligtly worried though, that you appear on the forum just days after getting married.

Congratulations!

BTW, marrying one who's PO-aware is a blessing. You have a partner, and not a burden (endless consumerist), in everything that you two do to prepare and head into a post-PO world.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride"

"Screw that. I gotta get on PO.com!"

Congrats, but why are you on this site, again?

P.S. Is it very disturbing to hear of a wedding and think of how much oil it used up?

congratulations to you both!

btw, being married is somewhat similar to a post-peak living. For me, some leisure activities have peaked years ago, sleep has peaked (nono, its the baby :-)), car mileage, beer drinking, hours of watching tv, walking lonely under the stars and wandering whatsallthisgoodfor, all peaked before marriage. Possibly more.

So we married people have some advantage in our experience afa the post peak oil world is concerned.

Don't forget 'oil fields' don't have the same natural pressure like they did pre-peak. :)

I like PO.com. I think i actually went a day without atleast "peaking" @ the current events and man i was lost!

Congratulations, Frank.

Remember - the wedding rings are an emergency supply of gold for bartering if the Mad Max scenario emerges :)

Never thought about that before.

But then - my wedding rings cost 12 pounds. I doubt there's much gold in them.
