As people get used to the idea of Israel fighting Lebanon and as their plans and intentions become more clear, the "fear of the unknown" factor will subside and people will calm down.
Of course, any unpredictable escalations will cancel that theory out.
I agree. This is a price spike, but the intensity and duration of it will depend on how serious the hostilities become.
And of course, the price at the end of the spike will still be higher than the price at the beginning.
