$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('PenultimateManStanding', '.')..Limbaugh can make you laugh too...it's a lot of BS.

Of course it is, but millions buy every word of it.

He can be really funny, though, and he has a great radio voice. It's easy to understand how he got where he is. On the rare occasions that I listen to him, I usually find myself grinning as he spouts his right-wing crap.

Rush Limbaugh & Peak oil

Unread postby lutherquick » Tue 27 Jun 2006, 13:13:29

I know this is a peak oil site, but I can't help my self because I feel this is so relevant.

I was a republican for 20 years, so I'm pissed, as I former republican I act like an ex-smoker criticizing a smoker.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060627/ap_ ... ugh_viagra

This article is about Rush, and he's caught again, with drug not prescribed to him. Like catching America, in Iraq, with chaos.

Rush Limbaugh, who I listened to religiously from 12 noon till 3PM each week day, I was a ditto head.
This relates to peak oil because of how hypocritical the US government is. Both democrats and republicans. This image shines in Rush's drug problems. Like Rush Limbaugh, with his emotional, and radical discourse about lying by Clinton or accusing Putin this, or the French that, or Saddam did 9/11, Rush represents the image and dilemma of the US, where we make deals with dictators (Saudi Arabia / Saddam in 1980's) for oil, when we speak of democracy yet kill woman and children in Iraq, where we promote human rights discussions about Chechnya yet we can't keep Floridian prison inmates from forced prostitution by Floridian prison officials, or of the Abu Grarib prison scandal.

Rush represents a man who lies, yet rambles on all day on his show about virtues and about great American values.
No wonder Bush can't come clean about Peak Oil, he can't say the word. Bush and Rush are one in the same. Rush is addicted to viagra and other things, Bush keeps America hooked on oil because he can't speak the truth.

I fell for the same propoganda, Die hard republican, now disenchanted with the whole system and everyone in it.

I thought it funny Limbaugh's arrest was hidden in the "Breaking News" section on the Foxnews front page (meaning it was not in plain site). But it was in plain view on the CNN page.

Limbaugh and Bush are both hypocrits catering to the "Religous Right" which (being one of them) I am deeply ashamed of.

clueless,

Yea, and right now, rush is on probation ... technically, he will go to jail... but then, a phone call to bush, and maybe a little adjustment to democracy, and Rush will get out of this...

Now I ask, why does he need Viagra? For his back problems?

it's funny... but, it's just like Iraq, or NGO money going into Russia and Belarus... American upper class, baby boomers will say one thing, but think something else... be it pills or the reaching for oil... Rush's corruption and Bush's corruption, it's all good in their eyes...

Viagra? how will he explain this one... Let me guess, the RESULT would not lead to an abortion, but in fact add to the Catholic church's need for procreation, make more war babies for the republican PNAC expansion of world democracy and liberation...

so, in conclusion, his lying is a good thing, ordered by GOD.
I guess what cracks me up is when is enough enough? When do people finally start canceling Radio contracts, when do advertises suffer enough? But then, it's like Nixon, they say, he just got caught... Well, maybe deep down Rush is like most republicans, maybe most republicans need illegal Viagra, you know? for democracy.

I can see an increase of Spam right now, Rush, Viagra's latest sponsor.

I read a collumn by Kunstler a while back, where he said the most common business news these days is Fraud.

I think people have equated it as being normal, and when Kenneth Lay took his bible to court everyday and somehow had the gall to invoke God after his sentencing implying "God was behind it all" , I fear for our society given the fact it is the "Religous" people who are supposed to be MOST sensitive to issues like this - especially those things that involve rich people trampling on and taking advantage of, poor people. Somehow that principle got flushed down the drain when "religion" got mixed in with the Military Industrial Machine that now runs this country.

In the eyes of the people there is no truth anymore, and there is no hunger for truth. I guess that is why I stay involved in "Peak Oil", is because there is not one person I have met on these boards whom I disrespect, even though I disagree with most worldviews, and I think that is because everyone here has the courage to face reality, even though it may not be comfortable. I will stand with the guys here before I will defend the religous right any day...

Rush, Sean Hannity and Fox News are , in my opinion, complicit in the mass murder that is taking place all over the world at this point in history - Just as complicit as Hitler's media guy was, there is no difference and I can't believe "Conservatives" don't get it.

As I said, I am ashamed of my people....

Limbaugh probably put that bottle of viagra in his suitcase hoping it would lead to something like this. He's having a great time, enjoying the groupies, making up for lost time.

And if he isn't married and believes in "Family Values" then why does he need viagra at all ??

Rush is an entertainer, nothing more than that. He chose right wing notions for his "schtick" because he liked reading National Review and admired Reagan and W. F. Buckley. I've listened to him for years and that's how it seems to me.

clueless,

Yea, Rush believes in family values like so many Catholic preachers love little boys...

Ever notice this generation? Today's generation of American baby boomers... these guys go around and advise and tell people what to do... yet they can't even follow their own rules... They point at Russia, advice about Chechnya, for example, yet can't even keep female prison inmates safe from forced prostitution and sex slavery... Yea, I'm sure Rush was on vacation, with little boys...

Maybe Rush and Bush can bullsh!t themselves... Maybe these two will even hear from the right audience, exactly what they need to hear... maybe they can filter the incoming phone calls and press conferences, and maybe folks in the general public will respect the office of the president, but deep down, everyone knows, everyone knows how full of sh!t they are and what lying scum bags they are... people feed them positive data, just for their own self interests... like a friggen boarding meeting at Enron, you will follow with the group... and I'm sure Hitler's advisers and Saddam's advisors all said "things are great man !!"

Well, eventually, Bush and Rush will have their day. These fakes are destroying 300 years of America building... How the fvck do these two sleep at night?

I swear, American society is on the brink, and cheap oil delayed the collection day. Things are really pent up, the day of reckoning will hammer the US with a vengeance.

Nice Rant - [smilie=5shocking.gif]

I got kicked off a "Christian" discussion forum last week for calling Bush a war criminal and the Religous Right a bunch of morons.

Some guys on here said Bush would pardon Lay and Skilling during in the lame duck pardon extraveganza that will occur in late 2008. I thought "there is no way".....Now that I think about it, Itl wouldn't surprise me a bit.

I think Bush would be more likely to order them drawn and quartered before he'd pardon them. They betrayed him; you think someone like Bush would take public betrayal and return forgiveness????

As to Rush, just like the Rove thing, I think yall are getting way ahead of the facts. No harm in waiting for the prosecutors, judges, and juries to make their judgements regarding the facts of the matter.

Good point, he vacations in the Caribbean and these guys are snickering kiddie prostitutes. The viagra charges will be dropped if the viagra was prescribed by his doctor, otherwise he has violated his probation and will be in big trouble. It's hard to say with a guy like that. He's obviously got something strange going on. I heard him today bad mouthing his brother in Missouri in a peculiar way, something about his brother wandering dazed through the streets of Cape Girardeau.

Why don't we take a closer look at this guy, Rush Limbaugh? I don't see anybody offering any real insights about him. He's told us so much on the air through years, maybe we can take a look at what he's said. He grew up in an uncomfortably neurotic southern family, apparently, where he distinguished himself by being the goof ball who played phone tricks with his voice. You see whare his talent was from an early age. He's like most guys and adolescence probably left him scarred somewhat, but he believed in his talents and made it work. Then he's probably gone through all kinds of shit that you or I would not want to go through, really. I heard him during the Clinton years. He deteriorated, you could hear it in his monotonous harping on Bill Clinton. He was obsessed and I turned him off for years because I couldn't take the bad vibes coming through the radio. Now he's joking about his viagra saying he got it "From the Clinton Library". Who knows what he's gonna do next, but stay tuned, Rush is entertainment and he will prove it one way or another.

There is one other thing worth saying here. Lot's of guys are spiteful and envious and dislike Rush because he's so successfully full of himself. end of story.

Rush seems to buy into the abiotic oil theory. Also, he runs the issue of peak oil into global warming and treats them both practically as one and the same. He's got to know that his friend W. F. Buckley has expressed concerns about PO.

Sure enough, prosecuters dropped the viagra thing. I knew there was a reason why he was joking around. He got it from his doctor so he could go to the Dominican Republic and do what he would love to tell us about about if he could. I've never used viagra but i've talked to guys who have. It's an "enhancer" evidently. Makes a 55 year old man feel young again with the hormonal vigor of youth. It's one thing to get an erection and have an orgasm, it something else to be porn star stud, heh heh.

A question from the UK:

Who or what is a "Rush Limbaugh"?

A new type of narcotic?

And how the heck do you pronounce it?

Lim-boff? Lim-bo? Lim-bow?

(I tried to Google the term ... but Google crashed or something)

Your recent posts have tickled me, soothsayer. So I guess you aren't mad at me afterall about the Wallace and Gromit thing. :) Rush Limbaugh (rush lim bah is how it's pronounced) He's America's number one talk radio guy. He's a rightwinger and primarily a humorist. You should have heard the little bit he did on Kim Jong Il the other day. I was cracking up when I heard it. A goofy guy doing a parody of Korean speech with a voice over in mock translation praising Jimmy Carter and demanding a tour of Disneyland and the Neverland Ranch in return for the cessation of launching "bottle rockets".
