hmm I do agree with Pstarr in a way. The situation is grave with the police "forces". The cops are most interested in pulling a profit. So actually the rich and middle class are targets now more than the lower class. we have resources and can write them checks!
Now if we were smart we would power down the entire judicial/ law system.
she got pulled over for no liscense and such. Impound car and all her documents imediatley. end of story no tazer. nothing. she is just left standing on her feet on the street.
now if its a 3rd degree murderer or pedophile. walk over into bushes and cap them. 2 cent bullet. honest citizens do not end up with burden.
I want the burden of this entire debacle off the honest caring people's shoulders. You and me must not have to take on this multicult/capitalist/socialist/commie/tyrant/criminal crap any longer. Its wrong.
One of my old friends was a NYC cop in the late 60's seventies and they were more community oriented. they also dumped murderers and rapists into the city sewers quite regularly. They would just pinch a couple joints out of the bags too. and go about their business.
Cops need to just focus on the serious crimes however there is no cash in it.

By consensus we grant the police the right to detain & question anyone in public.

We also require citizens to comply with all legal commands from the police during this process.

Ignorance of this is not considered a viable argument for non-compliance.

On the other hand...

Does verbal non-compliance deserve a Taz?

It's a human catttle-prod... a non-lethal method of forcing compliance.

Should the cop have tried pulling her from the vehicle first ala "Cops" tm. ?

hmmmm....

The cop can't try pulling her from the car otherwise she can claim inappropriate physical contact. It does look to me like she tries to slap the guy, so she opened a whole new can of worms with that act.

Naw... happens every day.

We even have more than one TV show devoted to watching people get busted like that.

:-D

Great was the transformation from Mrs. attitude to whiney beotch.

Guess I'd have to side with the ossifer on this one. Sometimes
a little politeness goes a long way. If she'd been a little more
civil it would have likely been a routine stop, regardless of what
the actual law(s) are in this case.

Actually it still wouldn't have been a routine traffic stop becasue she was driving with a suspended licence so they would have had to ticket her, impound her car and keep her from driving it at the very least.

I think this is a case of being your own worst enemy!
